Pet Peeve

"Homeschool" is not a typo!

This is my new pet peeve.
Why must Microsoft Word and Blogger insist that I spelled it wrong?
Come on, dictionaries, get with the program!
I'm starting to feel a little marginalized over here.  <pouts>
Ok, so maybe that's an exaggeration, but it's still really annoying.

  1. You can add a word to the dictionary. Just right-click and select "add to dictionary" Hope you feel less "marginalized" in the future! :-D

  2. Oh, I know I can do that for Word, but can I do it with Blogger?

  3. At least you can when you leave a comment (and use Google Chrome). But if you decide to rename your blog, you should figure out how to put the title showing the red squiggly line under "Homeschool". :-D

  4. Maybe I need to play with it a little more. When I spell check, I can tell it to "ignore" that "error." But then the next post that I do it says it is spelled wrong again.

What do you think of the new logo? (Honestly)

  5. I really like the new logo. I think it's very fitting. Plus, it's a little shorter, easier to remember, and just kind of fun and unexpected. :-) I also like that you explained it in your little info section.

And are you sure there isn't an option to "add to dictionary"? It should be between the correction options and the undo option if you right-click the "misspelled" word. I've had to do this several times with medical terms and it usually works. Regarding blogger, it may only be fixable in Google Chrome--that's the only browser I've tried.

  6. I did add to the dictionary for Word...I just had to un-add it to make the logo. And it doesn't look like I can permanently ignore errors in blogger with my browser :(

  7. That's stinky. You should just switch to google chrome. :-)
